This is the road into town -- nicely landscaped, with signs telling the history of Jamaica -- but the vast majority of passengers never leave the port area, which is gated and guarded.
Even town town, the cruise ship lurks in the background. The town has been cleaned up quite well, but many shops are still tiny and dark. We managed to find wi fi with no problem.
When I go to Google Images to find photos of authentic Falmouth, the vast majority are of the new cruise port. There are many rustic booths with locals selling souvenirs.
